The main attractions of the Bahraich city are- Sangharini Temple: The place is also known as Balark Rishi’s Tapasthali. The main deity of the temple, located within the ashram, is Goddess Kali. Panchmukhi Hanuman & Shani Temples are also located in the premises. The temple timings are- 5am-1pm & 4pm-11pm. Four Navratries are celebrated here and different Goddesses are worshipped during the Shukla Paksha of those months. Mahakali is worshipped during Chaitra month, Maa Laxmi in Asarh month, Maa Durga in Kartik month, while Maa Saraswati in Magh month (all are Hindi months). Rani Sati Temple: The temple was constructed in Dec. 1979. Earlier the temple was known as Adarsh Shiv Baba Temple but now it is popular as Rani Sati Temple. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva & Shani Dev. Monday and Saturday are considered auspicious days when people visit the temple in large numbers. Mari Mata Temple: The temple is located at a distance of 5 km from the city on Bahraich-Lucknow road (SH-13). This old Durga temple is said to be associated with Ramayana Period. The temple opens from 5am-9pm and Mondays & Fridays are considered auspicious. During Navratri an annual fair is held here.
