Tibetan Buddhist Vihar
Tibetan Buddhist Vihar is located on Ashoka Marg, near Cambodian temple, Sarnath, Varanasi, U.P., India. The monastery & the temple were built by monk Goshelama a refugee of Sino-Tibetan war in 1955. The temple houses the largest idol of Buddha in Sarnath. Rare Buddhist scriptures are preserved here which are the translated version of Buddhist literature in Tibetan language. Several year old frescoes made on cloth wall hangings can also be seen adorning the temple.
