It is the birth place of Saint Vitthalnath, who was the son of famous Saint Vallabhacharya, the founder of Pushti Marg-A school of Vaishnav Cult. Ballabhacharya reached Charnah Dham after having travelled extensively spreading the message of Krishna devotion in 1515 AD, when Vitthalnath his second son was born. This place is famous as Charnah Dham and has been the main meditation & devotion centre for the followers of Pushti Marg. A majestic building (Baithak), in the memory of Saint Ballabhacharya has been constructed here which represents an architectural marvel. This place is also known as Gupta Vrindavan amongst the followers of Pushti Marg. Acharya Koop’s (Well) pure water along with the climate of this region is supposed to be very congenial for good health.
