The temple was constructed to commemorate the 6th Cycle (72nd birthday) of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej on 5th Dec., 1999. There are three idols of Lord Buddha in Meditation Posture (Dhyan Mudra) installed in the main temple. The middle huge Idol was installed in 2005 and is flanked by two small statues on either side. In the forefront of these statues another statue of Buddha in recumbent posture has been added in 2008. Two statues of Lord Buddha in Dhyan Mudra (meditation posture), one adjacent to the main temple and another on a huge platform in open, are the main attractions of the temple. The temple also has 15 rooms which are meant for providing accommodation to the tourists from all over on voluntary donation basis. A kitchen and few additional rooms are still under construction.
