Deergheshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and sprawls over an area of 27 bhigha. It is an old historical temple situated near Majhauli Raj town and is believed to be the tapasthali (worship place) of Ashwasthama, son of Guru Dronacharya of Mahabharat Period. The temple is managed by a local trust. U.P. Tourism Department has constructed a Dharmshala for the devotees in the premises of the temple. People travelling from Baijnath Dham (Bihar) visit this temple during the month of Shravan.
