This is the historical Raghwendra Swami Sarkar Temple, built by the ruler of Gopalpur estate in 18th century. The temple is believed to be 250 year old, which was built by Maharani Haripal Kunwari and could only be completed by the hard labour of 25 years. The temple is dedicated to Lord Ram, Sita & Hanuman & their idols made of Ashta Dhatu (from eight metals) weighing 50 kg each are installed in the sanctum of the temple. The temple is about to be taken over by the Archaeological Deptt. of U.P. Dushehra & Ram Vivah are celebrated here. Tuesday is considered auspicious among devotees.
