Paras is named after Rishi Parasar, the grandson of Rishi Vashishtha, a small temple has been built here. The earlier ashtadhatu idol has been stolen from here and has been replaced by a small idol. Broken idols, found near the temple are the testimony of aggression carried out by Aurangzeb. Bhagwan Das Samadhi and a Shiva temple are established nearby. Bhuneshwari Mata temple dedicated to Goddess Durga, Ashtavakra Rishi Ashram & Jamtha are other places located near Paras but these temples & ashrams are neither well connected nor well maintained.
