Shri Gurunanak Devji visited this place while on one of his four major journeys that he undertook. Later on, this site was also visited by Guru Govind Singh who in his childhood came here on his way to Anandpur Sahib from Patna Sahib. He stayed here in a orchard (bagh) and the same was gifted (as Nazrana) to him by King Man Singh that is why it is called Nazarbagh. His footwear (Charan Padukas) are kept here, considering the historical importance of this place in 1997, the foundation of a Gurudwara was laid here which is still under construction. Earlier 13 storeys were proposed but now that has been limited to 7 storeys.
