How to reach
Can be accessed only by road from Allahabad, via Allahabad-Kanpur Road up to Manauli (17 Km from Allahabad) & then to Prabhosa via Kosam. Pre-hired taxis from Allahabad are preferred.

The place is one of the holiest shrines of Jains. 6th Tirthankar Bhagwan Padamprabhu went into deep meditation here on the 13th day of Kartik month after renouncing the world. After six months of rigorous penance & deep meditation he attained the eternal knowledge on full moon day of Chaitra (Sukla Paksh). Prabhasgiri is also the place where Bhagwan Padamprabhu got Deeksha & Gyan Kalyanak. Therefore, it is famous as Kalyanak Tirthra. New temple complex, houses four temples a Dharmshala (having 52 rooms) & three halls, located at the base of the hillock, while the older temple at the hill top which can be accessed through a flight of stairs (168 steps). This place was visited by Sug Yan in 519 AD and Hiuen-Tsang in 638 AD, and has been mentioned in their travel memoirs.
