Hans Tirth & Hans Koop
This place is located on the left bank of River Ganges in new Jhunsi area of Allahabad, at a distance of about 12 km from Allahabad railway station. This ashram belongs to the Sadhus of Hans Sampradai, which has been built by a Kshatria landlord of Bihar, named Thakur Prasad Ji after adopting the sainthood. His nick name was Atma Hans. The Tirth has been built following the principles of Hath Yoga. The periphery of the ashram is in Betal (Pan) leaf shape with its apex in the north. Presently the ashram is not well maintained and is really in bad shape. Many idols of the Gods are broken & it is surrounded by shrubs & filth. A well, known as Hans Koop, is located nearby, which has been conserved by the Archaeological Department of India.
