The ideology of Ramakrishna Math & Mission consists of the eternal principles of Vedanta as lived & experienced by Shri Ramakrishna and expounded by Swami Vivekananda. This Ramakrishna Centre was started by Swami Shivananda, who was a monastic disciple of Shri Ramakrishna in 1902. This Ashram has for long served as a retreat for the old & retired monks.


The temple is a must visit while in Varanasi. This elegant temple structure is located almost at the centre of the BHU campus. The foundation stone of the temple was laid in March, 1931 and it took almost three decades to complete it.


Ramnagar was the tapasthali of rishi Ved Vyas of Mahabharata times and was named as Vyas Kashi. Annual Ramleela was started here in the 18th century, hence the name Ramnagar.


Rangala mosque is located on Nai Sarak, Beniya Bagh area of Varanasi, U.P. at about 4 km from Cantt. railway station. The mosque opens from 5:30am-9pm. Id-ul-fitra, Id-ul-zuha are celebrated here. Friday is the special day when people gather here in large number to offer namaj


Situated in the Bhadaini locality of Assi area (B1/190-91 Assi, about 1.5 km from Assi Ghat) of Varanasi, U.P., India, lies the birth place of great warrior Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi- the famous freedom fighter of the War of Independence of 1857.


This temple is located at Raj ghat, Varanasi, U.P. near River Ganges at a distance of about 6 km from Cantt. railway station. It is dedicated to Sant Ravidas & his statue is installed in its sanctum. Ravidas jayanti is celebrated here.
