Varanasi

The mosque is located adjoining the Kashi Vishwanath temple at a distance of about 3.5 km from Cantt. railway station. This mosque was built during the reign of Aurangzeb.


The International society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) was founded by A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada in 1966 & since then the movement has spread globally with over 500 temples and around 2,50,000 devotees.


Varanasi & its adjoining areas have been associated with the birth place of four Jain Thirthankars, viz., Suparshav, Chandapraphu, Shreas and Parshva. Hence, it is one of the most important religious centres of Jainism.

This mosque is located at about 1.5 km from Cantt. railway station in Raja Bazaar, Nadesar area of Varanasi, U.P. and opens for public from 6am-8pm. Friday is the special day. Id-ul-fitra & Id-ul-zuha are celebrated here. .


Jangambari Math is the oldest Math among all the maths of Kashi and is also known as Jnana Simhasana or Jnana Peetha. Jangama means knower of Shiva, wadi means living place. The Math complex is spread over an area of 50,000 sq. feet.
