Baba Aghoreshwar was born in 1937 in a village called Gundi in Bhojpur district, Bihar. He was inclined towards spirituality from early childhood and at the age of nine years he came to Kashi (1946-1949). He took Deeksha and joined the Aghories here and was named Bhagwan Ram. Later he established many Ashrams at different places and on 30th Jan 1961, he established Baba Bhagwan Ram Trust. To carry out welfare activities he started Sri Sarveshwari Samooh on 21st Sept., 1961. He passed away in 29th Oct. 1992 in Manhattan, New York and his followers made his Samadhi in Pandav.
Kushtha Sewa Ashram (in 1961), one Ayurvedic medicine making unit, OPD facility, educational institutions, awareness campaign through publications & distribution of literature (Aghori Press established in 1968), spiritual guidance, social & environment awareness, women empowerment programmes are some of the activities carried out & promoted by Sri Sarveshwari Samooh. There is a working committee that carries out the work in accordance with the aims & objectives of the Sarveshwari Samooh.
