This Vipasana centre, spread over a huge campus, was started by Acharya Satyanarayan Goenka in 2002. The main pagoda (Dhyan Kendra) is still under construction. The technique of Vipasana meditation is a simple practical way to achieve real peace of mind to lead a happy & positive life. It is a logical process of mental purification through self observation & a path through which one can come out of his sufferings by eradicating craving, aversion & ignorance which are responsible for all our miseries.
To learn Vipasana meditation, it is necessary to take part in a 10 day residential course here or at any Vipasana centre in India & abroad. The course of 10 days duration is held twice a month, free of cost (donation accepted) at this centre. Teachers/Instructors who conduct these courses are invited from all over India. Vipasana Meditation Centre is equipped with all required facilities such as accommodation; meals etc.
