Sarnath

Sri Lankan Mahabodhi Temple/Mulgandha Kuti Vihar, a prime place for worship for the Buddhist community of the world, has been constructed by Bodhisatva Anagarika Dharmapala (1864-1933)


This Vihar is located near Shechen stupa, inside a lane (House No. SA-10/9KA) bifurcating from Rajpath road, in Sarnath


This temple is located on the Sarangnath road in Sarangnath locality of Sarnath. This temple site is believed to be the site of ancient temple of Shaiv Sect.


The stupa is located near Thai temple on Rajpath road, Sarnath, Varanasi, U.P., India. The stupa is built as a tribute to the vision of world peace of H.H.


The temple is located in a sprawling campus near modern reception centre of Tourist Department, on Rajpath road, Sarnath, Varanasi, U.P., India. (Timing: 6am-5pm). The temple has been built in Thai architectural style and houses a sandstone statue of Buddha in Abhay Mudra in its sanctum. .


Tibetan Buddhist Vihar is located on Ashoka Marg, near Cambodian temple, Sarnath, Varanasi, U.P., India. The monastery & the temple were built by monk Goshelama a refugee of Sino-Tibetan war in 1955. The temple houses the largest idol of Buddha in Sarnath.
