This building is adjacent to Anand Bhawan. The building was bought by Moti Lal Nehru (father of Jawhar Lal Nehru) in 1900. In 1930, he donated this building to the nation so that its premises could be used as the headquarters of the congress committee and named it Swaraj Bhawan. Indira Gandhi was born here. But this building is not in good condition now. When Gandhiji started Satyagraha in 1930, this building becomes a nodal center of his activities. Jawahar Lal Nehru Children Fund office, a children school for creative arts & Jawahar Lal Nehru Trust are also located here. Swaraj Bhawan also has a museum which regularly shows an audio visual programme titled "The story of Independence" The Museum also includes an underground meeting room where secret meetings pertaining to freedom movement were frequently held.
