The Jatakund, here is believed to be the place where Lord Ram & Laxman got their matted hair cut at the end of their exile. It is the first halt of Ayodhya-Chitrakoot yatra. The temple/Kund both are frequently visited by the south Indian visitors.
The main temple named Shri Bharat Hanuman Milan Mandir has two tiers. At the underground level Bharat, Hanuman statues & Charan Paduka of Lord Ram are kept here. Many other temples are located nearby. The place is famous for performing holy Shradha (rituals of paying homage to ancestors). (Phone-9307293470, 9235985787) Bharat Kund is also located nearby but the water of the kund cannot be used for bathing & other purpose. Ghats on the northern side of the kund were built by the brother of King Darshan Singh in the first quarter of 19th century.
